⭐The first chapter introduces a rigorous approach to characterizing ruler and compass constructions, and only later introduces the concept of a field. This makes field theory and its classical problems much more tangible. The book contains exercises for each chapter that are highly original, some based on research papers, but simplified for the student. Some exercises make reference to material covered later in the book. If this is an impediment for some readers, they can always return to such problems when they have later covered the requisite material. A very nicely exposited book, and very reader friendly. I have never seen an approach such as this to field and Galois theory.

⭐This book is a bit on the pricey side for me, because of demand, and well-worth the price. It goes down the list of all the mathematical topics related to cryptography and many aspects of signal processing and numerous, numerous topics. It is in my absolute 3 books I would take with me to a deserted island. Beautiful math to keep you learning for very long time.
