Description
It is from this Biblical saying that Harold Coyle has taken the title of his new novel, God’s Children. Yet peacekeeping is not child’s play. A tale of high-tech warfare set in near-future Slovakia, God’s Children is the story of the 3rd Platoon, C Company, 2nd Battalion of the 13th Infantry, and two young officers who try to keep a peace that is falling apart before their very eyes.
Simultaneously an action-filled adventure and a study of contemporary issues facing today’s soldier, this novel displays Coyle’s vast knowledge of military affairs through thrilling yet realistic scenes. Proving once again that Coyle is a master of military fiction, God’s Children is as timeless as war itself.

⭐ Not Coyle’s best work…it flows well but Nathan Dixon’s character isn’t fleshed out enough…seems forced into a situation that doesn’t resolve during the book nor is it explored more throughout the book. Earlier books do this much better including resolution.
⭐ Harry Coyle has written several excellent books over the years, sad to say this isn’t one of them. I was very disappointed. I felt it was poorly written and edited. The plot was mediocre and the entire story line was just not up to par. The rivalry between the two lieutenants was sophmoric and the ending was inane. Why not let us know how Lt. Dixon made it back to brigade hq and how the platoon was rescued. Thye whole possible romance was pointless. It seemed that Coyle grew weary of writing and just decided he had enough. Whats with the title? It didn’t seem remotely related to the book. I strongly recommend against reading this book.
⭐ This is a heck of a good story about a war front area not written enough about. Not a real ongoing war but very realistic and well written like everything else by this author. The relationships between the ranks was spot on.
⭐ Another good read from Harold Coyle
⭐ A good story with a swiftly moving plot. Story is both believable and plausible. Technical data is detailed, but not overwhelming. Good insight into the developing situation.
⭐ As always with Harold Coyle, the detail, the plot lend themselves to a book you just have to read.Excellent story
⭐ Good read on Kindle
⭐ Seemed kind of short and thrown together. Good story line, just short of details and an ending.
⭐ Great story line, especially the continuation of the Dixon lineage. The setting, and the fact that he took one plot from beginning to end was very exciting. Hope this leads to many more in a new “line-extension” for Mr. Coyle.
⭐ Classic Harold Coyle
