    ⭐A good source of information but I was disappointed, given that it was a second edition and I presume updated, for it to compare the 3130 CMOS Op Amp with the 741 that was certainly superseded by scores of better amplifiers by 1977 when the book was first published. I used to own the original edition back in the 1970’s and was a little disappointed. It’s still a good source of information but I am knocking off one star!

    ⭐Excellent resource.I mainly got it to learn about CMOS switching, but ended up digging into other sections

    ⭐I was expecting a well thumbed book for the price I paid, which was fine as it is a reference book and I’ll use it extensively, but this book is almost in pristine condition.

    ⭐This book starts off with the basic theory behind FETs (Field effect transistors), and uses that to build a basic CMOS inverter.This book also includes pinouts of many CMOS (and some non-CMOS) chips, with a format of the most important information at the top of the page, and the least important information at the bottom. It also covers quite a lot of digital logic systems very well.

    ⭐Another classic. Although outdated and superseded by the Internet, I wanted to replace my original one.

    ⭐I bought this cookbook as a reference book for the design activity in my job.The book came quickly and it was in the condition that was decribed by the seller.I will buy my work related books from Amazon again.

    ⭐I awaited the arrival of this book eagerly. I had it open and was reading within 2 minutes of it being delivered. As promised, the author doesn’t weigh you down with lots of mathematics. He writes in a clear, friendly and practical style and complements the text with unambiguous, uncluttered diagrams. The balance of diagrams to text is just about right. He held my attention right from the first sentence in the book.The first chapter is an excellent coverage of how CMOS technology works. There is good coverage of the features of CMOS, a comparison with TTL, stuff you need to know to interface CMOS with other chip families as well as a practical section which gives great tips and advice for working with the technology. It is the kind of information that would take hours and hours to obtain by reading datasheets, or what you would learn from debugging failed circuits. And it is all extremely readable.Next up are around 120 pages, or so of mini “datasheets” (one page per device) for each of the most popular CMOS devices. Very useful stuff and a handy reference that you can flick through when selecting components for a project. The rest of the book is geared towards combinational and sequential logic circuits: AND/OR gates etc, flip-flops, counters and other things you expect to find in an introductory course to digital logic. This is followed by several complete CMOS applications.In summary: the book is a complete, friendly and practical guide to CMOS technology, the popular CMOS chips, logic and basic applications. It is a little on the expensive side, but it will serve as a useful reference whilst you get to grips with building CMOS circuits. Easily the most readable and complete practical reference work I have found on CMOS. It will sit on my bookshelf for years to come.

    ⭐Essential reading for electronic hobbyists. Even though it focuses on 4000 series CMOS, most of the contents is still relevant and highly useful. A significant number the larger IC’s are now obsolete (too much of a niche market), but the small to medium jellybean logic parts are not and this is where this book shines. It really lives up to its name as a “cookbook”, eschewing endless maths and formulas for tips and plenty of examples.This will deservedly sit on the shelf alongside “the art of electronics”. I only wish it came in a hardback edition…

    ⭐Very well written, clear explanations from the basics with all essential detail. The book goes through cmos theory before detailing popular circuits covering both analogue and digital.Very interesting, informative, and highly recommended.

    ⭐The digital electronics engineers bible, This is the ‘must have’ manual for all digital engineers, quick reference on Cmos IC”s and lots of applications information…………I would be lost without it.

    ⭐Although pic chips are the new thing now, anyone trying to understand how logic circuits work NEEDS this book. Very well written and easy to understand. Suitable for complete beginners and a handy reference for advanced users!!!
