⭐ Obviously “someone” who doesn’t identify themselves copied this book and put it up for sale. There’s no spacing between paragraphs and the print in maybe point 10… I feel like I was taken advantage of and would frankly like to get a refund if it didn’t cost me to mail it back.

⭐ The book may be great but the letters are so small you can’t read the book.

⭐ It is misleading describing this product as a paperback, it is a pamphlet at best, and poorly constructed at that. I’ve seen better constructed menus.And the print layout is horrible, no spacing between paragraphs. I will never purchase anything from this company again.

⭐ I, like most people have purchased many items off of Amazon. Their customer service is fantastic and this review had nothing to do with Amazon as a whole.This review is for the extremely poor craftsmanship “printing” of an American Classic. I wish that I would have read the reviews of this printing, before purchasing it for my son. “DO NOT”, I say again “DO NOT” purchase this version of the “Book”, more like a pamphlet. There were 30+ pages unreadable do to poor printing. Pictures are attached to this review. Luckily, I quickly inspected this travesty and Amazon is going to refund my money.

⭐ What a ripoff!! It’s NOT the actual book and is only 55 pages long, and yet I see it costs MORE than the paperback novel does at almost $7! EXTREMELY frustrated that someone could trick people with this fake! (Not allowed to give zero stars, that’s the only reason for the 1 star rating)

⭐ The text avoids the stilted language of the original. Students can understand and relate to the story that uses clear expressions. The story remains in tact both in the story line and original ideas. Used Classic Starts for my mild/moderate students. They also enjoyed “Swiss Family Robinson” and “Treasure Island” Classic Starts. I write 10 questions for each chapter to gage their comprehension. These books are much better than using summarize in Word.

⭐ What a wonderful book. I’m not always a fan of abridged classics but they are great ways to get young ones hooked. Six year old loved it. Even lived White Fang.

⭐ Many of the Classic Starts Books have worked well to read to my kindergarten or 1st grade kids. By second grade they can start to read on their own. The rewrite in this one was good. Consistent w actual book but reguaged the details to be age appropriate.

⭐ Some hard words, but you can easily look up the definition to understand the meaning and understand the book. My son read it and it was a thin read, but challenging in reading. He did read twice, to fully understand but was glad to pick this book.

⭐ The buyer is totally misled on this book. It is not the actual paperback but someone’s idea of a poor copy. Chapters don’t coindide with the real paperbook, print needs a magnifying glass, spacing and paragraphs are hard to discern. I’m surprised Amazon allow this book to be sold on their site. What a rip off!
