⭐Not sure what star rating to give this, as it may very well be excellent for the technically minded reader, but for the armchair Hoffman fan it’s VERY unnecessary, especially for the academic price. I would rate it 1 star for how much I got out of it, but I recognised that I was taking a gamble buying it – I just loves me some Hoffman. Turns out, though, that he says nothing here I haven’t heard him say more simply elsewhere, and most of the book is high-level (to my mind, anyway) mathematics.
