    Description

This hardback, published in 1980 as a FIRST EDITION of 357 pp, is in Used- Very Good Condition. The book covers show no wear. Covers are black with silver embossed title and authors’ last names and emblem. The reason this book has a very good condition rating (and not a used- like new rating) is that 67 of the 357 pages have some neatly written in small script pencilled notations or underlinings from a previous owner. This person read the book very carefully! Otherwise, spine is in excellent condition, covers are not faded nor are edges worn, pages are clean white (with neat notations on 67 pages). Please see photos . According to book’s preface, “The advent of the space shuttle and prospect of several decades of regular low-altitude earth orbital activity have focused attention on high-speed atmospheric trajectories exemplified by space shuttle entry. The hypersonic flight mechanics of these trajectories represents a unique field, in that a combination of orbital mechanics and atmospheric flight mechanics is required. We (authors) have endeavored to make this text valuable as a research tool and reference for current experts in field and also as a learning source for engineers and scientists in related fields who want to become involved in entry dynamics
