⭐Fantastic book. Just what I wanted. Well laid out, easy to find the references, and a very good starting point for Old English literature. Highly recommend this book.

⭐NOTA IMPORTANTE: questa è la *seconda* edizione, perciò ci sono delle differenze di contenuti tra questa e la prima edizione. Chiedete al docente PRIMA di acquistare questa. Se vuole proprio la PRIMA edizione, dovete cercarla altrove, tipo in biblioteca.Per il resto, è ben fatto e ben strutturato per tematiche specifiche (ogni capitolo è curato da un autore su una tematica specifica della letteratura in inglese antico, pre-conquista normanna). Questi capitoli possono essere letti anche singolarmente. Se letti in sequenza, in alcuni punti possono essere leggermente ridondanti.

⭐Il s’agit de la seconde édition d’un ouvrage très complet, indispensable à tous ceux qui comptent entreprendre des études ou des recherches dans le domaine des langues vernaculaires médiévales. L’approche est pluridisciplinaire, très méthodique et pédagogique, et offre d’intéressantes perspectives pour une réflexion ultérieure. A recommander aux étudiants et chercheurs, ainsi qu’aux enseignants, et plus largement, à toute personne intéressée par le monde insulaire médiéval.
