⭐I use it for my senior experience course in Typology and find it very informative, sometimes a little too much, and providing one of the most recent, balanced approaches to language universals. It’s not a textbook and has no problems, but its material is a good basis for a seminar-type work with students in charge of meaningful discussions. It’s a collection of chapters written by different authors having different styles, so I like some chapters more than others. I would still recommend it to students and instructors of classes in linguistics universals and typological studies.
