User’s Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Swami Vivekananda is one of the most masterful writers on the subject of yoga and it’s origins. His series of three books on the different types of yoga are a timeless resource, unsurpassed in clarity, wisdom, humor and insight.
⭐Swami Vivekananda’s teachings will truly inspire you to be a great human being with a GREAT CHARACTER. This book is a must read for students, youngster’s, and every one who wants to be charged and lead the life successfully.
⭐This is an excellent boo that best explains karma natural and one’s own karmic doings as clear and with clarity as possible. Not fully accepting to some of the teachings, for love is only of own’s perception and worship in the divine is unecessary since the divine have no such need. This is a great book.
⭐The mindset of this swami is vast and exploratory. He really knows that action and inaction lead to a outcome. Anyway this is a good read.
⭐I read this along with two of Vivekananda’s other books, loved them all. I will not get rid of these books. This is the yoga I was looking for.
⭐THE PRODUCT WAS EXCELLENT AND IT WAS FAST TO GET TO ALASKA. IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD BE PROUD OF THE SERVICE YOU PROVIDE TO YOUR CONTENTED CUSTOMERS.
⭐Typically Vivekananda! Powerful.
⭐This book covers two of the most important spiritual paths of Hinduism in eloquent and evocative language with a direct appeal to the heart. However, by no means is it restricted to a particular belief or sect. This book is a collection of speeches and writings of Swami Vivekananda on Karma and Bhakti Yoga; the lectures read together very well and if one were not told in advance that this was a collection, it would read just like a book.Swami Vivekananda has a genius for giving an unexpected angle of thought to these subjects. The logic and reason of these paths are brilliantly treated. We see that these are not doctrinal paths but teachings which are in harmony with modern science and thought. The wisdom of Karma Yoga provides a vital input on leading our lives in the modern age, and Bhakti Yoga, interpreted in such rational language, is as relevant today as it was in ancient times. It is to the credit of Swami Vivekananda that he makes us realize the importance of these teachings and brings them alive for us. This book is a must for all who wish to practice spirituality in the modern age….P.J.Mazumdar, author of “The Circle of Fire”
⭐Quite a good book explaining one perspective of the Bhakti and Karma paths. The writer is very wise but also sometimes makes judgemental statements or leaps in logic which seem unwarranted. Perhaps this is because it was written at a different time for a different audience. The writing style can border on repetitive or verbose at times. This book is pretty good but Raja Yoga by the same author is far better. However I would not recommend Jnana Yoga by the same author.
