Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:
⭐ I was stumbling around trying to figure out even some very basic features of my ZUNE since MS has no users manual. This got me through some basics and even into some advanced features. I would have been lost without it. But its pictures of ZUNE PC screens look so different from my version of Zune 3.0 that I was confused for some time. Its screens look so much like Windows Media Player but my Zune PC software looks nothing like that. Similarly the navigation instructions were a little different and I had to interpret them.
⭐ As one reviewer called this book “…for dummies who can’t find the information free on the web” – this is true, but for anyone who doesn’t have the TIME to search through the zillions disassembled pieces of information about the Zune or the knowledge of which of those pieces they need, this is a great reference – a lot of it was almost too technical, but I got the basics of what I needed and recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to take the time to wade through the endless information on the web, free through it may be!
⭐ Ok
⭐ I purchased this book for my 57 year old wife after she recieved a Zune 8GB player as a Christmas gift. The book has helped her understand the players capabilities to some extent, but it was written for the ealier Zune versions. She does like having the book as a reference, as opposed to sorting thru different screens of an on-line manual. Having the book and another experienced user to consult seems to be key for her.Overall, the book was worth the expense.
⭐ I know it says “Dummies” so guess that was certainly for me as I expected basic to advanced information with more confounding issues. Probably I am grading to harshly for that reason. If you are looking for just very basic information, then I could give it a few more stars.
⭐ I work with computers so downloading music was easy to figure out. I bought the book to help me figure out how to set up the playlists, use the sync’ing softwre, etc. It wasn’t very helpful in that area. Probably ok if you’re new to computers or downloading music.
⭐ I purchased Zune for Dummies book because I’m not electronically inclined. I love my Zune but knew little about it. This book is great for those of us who tend to be challenged. It’s easy to read and understand. This book has been very helpful and informative. Just buy it! You won’t be sorry.
⭐ I learned some things I didn’t know, but I haven’t been able to find the answer to my question…how to transfer the music which I own from my Zune to my laptop. That was the reason I bought the book! I may have overlooked it!
⭐ The Zune was given as a gift with no book so I knew nothing about how it worked so this book helped me.
⭐ GOOD SOURCE OF INFO FOR THE BEGINNER,EASY READING AND HELPFUL FOR GETTING AROUND THE ZUNE.THANK YOU
