⭐I have highlighted so much that was amazing in this book, especially Ferrer’s thoughts on exams. I particularly liked that it was a proper critique of Ferrer, the man, the development of his politics and his school – including the theory and the practice. Proper critique in that it highlighted the positives and the negatives of the man, theory and school, the difference of opinions on the modern school within and without the anarchist movement at the time. The afterword is excellent. The reason I only gave it 4 stars though is that in a few places it was so interminably boring I didn’t think I’d finish. But only a very few.
