⭐A page turner…. Unbelievable… a must read!

⭐And will remain in the public eye for many years to come, as a guide to where the CCP are heading to this day (December `21). The author Navarro has written a number of very interesting books which for me have been very insightful for their facts, figures and general views.

⭐As a retired 40 yr Aerospace & Defense Master Machinist, this book hits home for me on many of the advanced weapon systems I’ve worked on: The F22, F35, V22, THAAD anti-ballistic missile system, Aegis ballistic missile defense system; there’s more than I have time to record. In 1978-79, ‘I cut my teeth on’ the Tomahawk Cruise Missile (Air to Air) in the prototypical department, building #5, General Dynamics Convair Division. I also machined a wealth of prototype (weapon/defense) parts from experimental projects as I watched them grow from their infancy. That being said, this book grabbed me by the seat-of-my greasy, machinist britches, and held on tight as I paced in circles chanting, “I knew it! …I knew it!” …The facts Peter Navarro pours into this easy-to-read book of his, has my heart thumping and my head spinning… He openly supports his findings with names and dates; verifying source and credibility. Man, the research done here is excellent! My hat is off to you Peter, “The Crouching TIGER” is a blessing to all whom are not sleeping. I can only hope those in Washington that are, asleep at the helm, take a strong notice to your “Wake-up call.” It’s obvious my opinion of this book is high: “Five stars”, but, that’s only because there is not six stars offered. ⭐A must read to really understand why China does what they do and a road map for America to combat China and the China factory machine.

⭐China and the Chinese people are different from us in the United States. They have a long term perspective and have a moral compass that is heavily weighted in priorities that vary from those of America and may of our allies. Peace in the South China Sea Basin depends on leaders of the “Free World” understanding not just what China and its leaders want but how they will likely go about getting those concessions and what they are willing to LOOSE in the process. it is a mistake to expect the Chinese or the North Korean’s to think even remotely as we in the West do – and likewise they place value differently as well. It is important to understand that China is heavily dependent on sea trade and is not landlocked but is strangled by the island nations ringing the South China Sea and the shipping lanes that course through those areas. China cannot tolerate disruption of their bustling oceanic trade.Between China and India nearly one in every four people alive on Earth live in those two countries. They are ignored at the peril of the rest of the world – we must understand them better – and we must engage them on their terms in the South China Sea. This detective story leaves readers thinking about what can potentially happen in the future to China and America’s relationship as China’s military constantly continues to grow.What makes this book special: Peter Navarro’s thought-provoking questions at the beginning of each section helps readers gain some knowledge of the strategic challenges facing America. China’s secretive military plans are brought up to the surface and readers are now well aware of how important it is to not ignore what China has been doing behind the scenes. Even though Americans have a bright prospective of what is to come during the next few decades due to the peace offerings that China has to offer, this book informs readers through the answers given at the end of each chapter that China’s promises can potentially be far from the truth.As someone who didn’t know much about the global affairs between America and China before reading this book, I believe that the research Navarro provided has definitely been informative and eye opening. It is an easy and must read for all!

⭐With so much news on the main stream media seemingly giving a one-sided perspective of world conditions, the last chapter in the book says it all. There are competing financial interests in this country, each competing for opposite interests. With Chinese intervention in school education, political support via lobbyists, military subversion and dictating our news, it is so hard to believe what we hear and what we see. This book provides the underlying assessment which enables the analytical person to question those stories or even the commentary following articles reprinted on sources such as Yahoo news. Not everything you read is written by those who are in America or represent American interests. After reading this book I would neveecia tech companies or

⭐This is a fascinating, frightening overview of what happens when an emerging power like China confronts the status-quo. I believe the author is now part of the Trump administration. Let us hope that his sobering, clear-eyed, analysis turns the corner and that the pivot to Asia does not lead to war…

⭐”The Hundred-Year Marathon”が面白かったので、次は”Crouching（動物が襲撃の為に低い姿勢を取る）”というタイトルが不気味なこちら。『マラソン』に比べればイデオロギー色が強くなく、軍事戦略の講義さながらに各章が質問に答える形で中国の脅威と衝突の可能性を明らかにしていきます。中でもそもそも中国とは旧ソ連と違って交渉の前提となるべき共通した価値観が存在しないという絶望的な指摘が人種差別ぎりぎりですがホントにコワいです。意外だったのは作者が日本が今後どういう選択をするか結構気にしている（？）こと。米国と共に歩むのか、まさかの中国への鞍替えか、はたまた自ら核武装し独自路線を歩むのか。個人的には『マラソン』のレビューに書いた通り現状維持がベスト且つそれ以外あり得ないと考えます。作者P. Navarroはトランプを大統領選挙中から支え現通商製造業政策局長、『マラソン』の著者M. Pillsburyも現国防省コンサルタントです。米国が覇権を賭けていよいよ中国と対峙し始めたのと決して無縁ではありません。必読です。Very nice shape and my husband had raving reviews about the book
