⭐ I was so anxious for this book to be released after that insane cliff hanger Bella left us with in Book 20. But I was COMPLETELY unprepared for Book 21. Bella went above and beyond her normal “wild ride” of a story line and amped it up a notch. There were so many great moments! This book attempted to explain the “reason” behind the ignorance and betrayal of one character, although I still despise her enough to want to reach through the book and wring her neck. “Watching” (I know, it’s READING, but with Bella’s book I feel like I’m watching . . . ) Ben deal with the choices he made in Book 20 was intense! New characters are introduced that kind of made me scream, gag, and hold my breath all at once. And to top it off, Bella messed with my head by offering up an option for one character that I had only been dreaming about since the first few books! (I was excited I was bouncing up and down while I read.) And then BAM! She totally slammed the door on my heart!! (Geez, I think she is trying to kill me sometimes.) This book was full of intensity, longing, terror . . . it was totally intriguing. And it left me wondering if love really can conquer death . . . but of course, Bella is making us wait for the answer to that question (she calls it building the suspense . . . I call it evil).
⭐ I don’t know, it looks like it’s just me, but I could not keep reading this book. The plot is bad, the style/way the author writes is bad, the characters are bad in the sense that I could not like any of them. The character Sofia looks like she doesn’t have brain. She feels more than acts, and her reasoning lacks logic. I cannot stand a book that shows weak female characters. I really felt wrong emotions, and I think it is a bad book.
⭐ I didn’t really care for this particular story as much as the other stories in the Shade of a Vampire series. I thought this one was a little boring in some parts and kind of dragged on. I like how the author is creative in her writing but the fact that she keeps adding on all these new supernatural characters is getting a bit extreme and hard to keep track of. Also, as I have mentioned in past reviews I really wish she’d spend more time writing her stories. By this I mean I’d rather wait three months for a long book that takes me days to read and not hours. While I love the series and plan on reading it as long as it interests me, I don’t think it will ever be made into a show or movie(s) as I believe the Author has mentioned she was hoping for. Just based on what I’ve seen the book series that movies and TV shows are based on usually don’t exceed 10 book in the series, but who knows maybe it will happen.
⭐ Bella Forrest is doing a great job of continuing these series! I am amazed that she is able to continue keeping the readers excited and full of anticipation. There are some moments where I feel she has to much detail or over explains a character’s thoughts or feelings or drags out a situation, but overall I am still captivated and turn the pages swiftly to continue the journey with the Shade family!
⭐ She is a very talented writer of fantasy. Bella Forrest makes me wish I could live at the Shade. Her stories are easy to get lost in and hard to stop reading!
⭐ I’m still loving the books. I’m always looking forward to the next one. Can’t wait to get to the end of the series. Reading with bated breath.
⭐ As with all of Bella’s books, I was glued from beginning to end and couldn’t wait for the next read!!!! There are some typos but it was such a good read that I didn’t care too much. When you think about how fast she puts books out, a typo here and there is forgiven.
⭐ As always Bella Forrest deserves a 5 star rating!!! She makes you feel as though you are inside the story…a story that has become my home. Keep reading a shade of vampire you will not be disappointed…ever.
⭐ This book was much better than the last. Exciting and full of mysteries! I can’t wait to start the next one! I only wish there had been more interaction between Ben and River, hopefully I’ll get it in the next book. I will say that this feels more like Ben’s sorry they Ben and River’s story but it’s still a good read.
⭐ Love these books and all the characters. A nice love story with sexy left to your imagination. I always read thru them too fast and have to wait for the new book to come out. I would recommend these books to anyone who loves hot men and riding on the seat of your pants suspense.
