Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Each chapter has its own author, and its a collection of articles that covers different periods and eras – and by that I do not mean years. An interesting read with varied perspectives and paradigms. The history of Armenians has evolved through empires and generations unlike most, so it’s only natural that a book about our history be just as diverse. This is even more true given the political climate of many ‘political’ Armenians of the 20th and 21st centuries.

⭐Good bit of history on the Armenian people. I bought it for the chapter on events in the 11th century, when the Byzantines took over the Armenian kingdom, and the information was good.

⭐While it is a fairly comprehensive history of Armenia, this book is written from a narrow perspective and fails to put that history in the context of the rest of the world. I would not have bought or read this book if it weren’t for the fact that the author was a professor for one of my courses and required his students to purchase this book. If you must buy the book, buy it used at the very least.

⭐An educational Tome. Well written. Must be in the mood for historical perspective to appreciate this book. Which I did and am grateful for.

⭐Well done documentary of Armennian history. Thank God for Richard Hovannisian who has devoted his life to recording it.

⭐Richard G. Hovannisian is one of a kind and, like all of his contributions to history, this is a great book.

    ⭐Great read

⭐Extremely rich, with contributions from the best experts in the field. If you are interested in the history of Armenian, Asia Minor, and want to understand the Middle East, this is an eye-opener.
