⭐I’m doing research for a romance story set in the time of the goths, and picked up this book for background material, along with a larger book, This one had more info about daily life and society within the Goth communities. Just wished it had more! Simple, well written, and not overburdened with dates and historical facts. Gives you a better idea how they lived, worked and married etc.

⭐This book is very informative, giving detailed accounts of the Germanic tribes. Compared to books on the Celts, it is hard to find even any books on the Germanic peoples. Among the few I could find, I found this to be the best so far.
