Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐The Highlander’s Sin has two wonderful characters they I grew to love while reading there story. After witnessing his parents and siblings death when Duncan MacKay was a young boy 7yrs. old. He swears vengeance on the Sutherland Clan who attacked and killed his family. Duncan is told by there dying priest to go to the Pluscarden Abbey for sanctuary Twenty years later he is now a Priest who has not yet taken his finale vows to the church. He has also, become a Mercenary for hire. Duncan is hired to kidnap Heather Sutherland the younger sister of the Laird Mangus Sutherland.Heather wants to help fight for Scotland under William Wallace and is in the family chapel saying her final prayers before she lives family and home to join with William Wallace. But Duncan is there to kidnap her. Heather goes with Duncan willingly and even makes him carry her traveling bags . This part of the story is very funny. The banter between Duncan and Heather is funny at times. Duncan starts to admire the young beautiful Heather. They start to fall in love as they encounter dangerous men on the road and other adversities. Duncan begins to change his mind about turning Heather over to the clan that wants her.Highlander’s Sin was a fun, romantic sensual story with a bit of danger and adventure thrown in. I Highly Recommend Highlander’s Sin.

⭐I have read three of the six written novels in this series, not all in order so that I will need to backtrack. But, this is one of my favorite novels by several authors. It begins with a horrific slaughter of seven year old Duncan MacKay’s entire family and servants who had ridden to another castle to meet with members of the Sutherland clan only to become victims. Duncan had left a gate open when he went early in the morning to pick flowers for his mother. His life was spared that day by his mentor and family priest who with his dying breathe sent Duncan to his brothers at the priory.Twenty years later, Duncan was a mercenary wearing the black robes and heavy cross that earned him the name Priest, although he had not taken his final vows. He lived with the guilt of leaving that gate open believing that it was his doing that caused the death of all those he had loved. As a mercenary, Duncan trained as a warrior, often giving Biblical verses as he mowed down those who fought him. His life for twenty years was to ready himself for revenge upon the Sutherlands. The opportunity came when an enemy of the Sutherland family hired him to abduct the youngest daughter, Heather. I had met her in the first book of the series when she was a child and it obvious that she would be a rule breaker and follow her own path while viewing the world as a place for adventure. Heather at nineteen matured exactly as expected, seeking her adventure to fight for Scotland’s freedom from the English by encouraging William Wallace to again become the figurehead that could lead the Scots. So, when Duncan came to kidnap her, she saw it as an adventure; knowing that she could escape Duncan and in the meantime have him as a protector until she could find Wallace. Totally, opposite to any other woman that Duncan had ever abducted.A special type of novel for me meets most of these requirements: the hero warrior must be an alpha in strength but have a protective character when it comes to his lady, the lady has to have some backbone and a quick wit. A storyline that includes, lots of action, good interaction between the characters, have humor and some comedic settings. The author writing historical novels and can bring a sense of the time and place with a setting that actually may teach the history of the time period, will be a person that I will not be afraid to purchase other books that they have written. The Highlander’s Sin had all of the elements that make a novel one that I will re-read. I recommend Eliza Knight as an exceptional author.

⭐When a raid kills a young boy’s whole family, he escaped with the help of the priest. Years later a priest kidnapped the sister of a Scottish Laird. He has been hired to take her to a enemy of her family. This was to be a simple job, one that he was sure would be easy. What these two people were not prepared for was some secrets to be revealed, love to blossom and a young boy to find his true place in life. I loved it .

⭐When I started buying these books, they weren’t available in a bundle, and now are – great way to save $$$. I really like this author, her books have everything – action, suspense, hot love, HEA and uniqueness. Her books have very descriptive love making, so if this bothers you, this book isn’t for you.No cliffhanger’s, which is great! So much happens at the end, that I would have liked an Epilogue to see if the future worked out for them. They both were going towards something brand new together, a future so unexpected, that an Epilogue would have been very satisfying. Don’t get me wrong, they have a very satisfying HEA.*********************** SPOILER *************************** SPOILER*********************************** SPOILER********************************The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars, it upset me that he was supposedly a Priest, and was kissing our h. The author doesn’t make it clear until the end that our H hadn’t taken his final vows to be a Priest. Why didn’t the Monks kick him out because they had to know he was a sword for hire and killed people. Why did he stay with the Monks so long, when he obviously didn’t hold to their beliefs (and supposedly his),he killed, bedded women etc. Some character’s from other books make a little appearance, which was nice to visit with them again.I am not going into the premise, as others have explained it. Buy the bundle, better experience with reading about this amazing family, plus will save you lots of money. (ljb)

⭐Good story. Spent the first half not liking Duncan, and the second half wondering why Heather didn’t ‘Hong Kong Phooey’ chop him when she realised that she couldn’t get away, if she obviously knew how. Enjoyed the book anyway.

⭐My Granny as the whole series for books she says the storylines are very good. So If like Highlanders like my granny this books is most get in her eyes

⭐If you want strong Scottish Lairds, handsome, strong and viril men who secretly are Dragons, living, and trying to love the women in their lives, then this series with thrilling adventures, friendship, loyalty, humour, and love this is the series for you,

⭐Eliza Knight is another author whose books I really enjoy. This was just another example of her all enthralling novels.

⭐I really enjoyed The Highlander’ s Sin, the story line was well worked and Duncan and Heather were interesting main characters.
