From Spinors to Quantum Mechanics discusses group theory and its use in quantum mechanics. Chapters 1 to 4 offer an introduction to group theory, and it provides the reader with an exact and clear intuition of what a spinor is, showing that spinors are just a mathematically complete notation for group elements. Chapter 5 contains the first rigorous derivation of the Dirac equation from a simple set of assumptions. The remaining chapters will interest the advanced reader who is interested in the meaning of quantum mechanics. They propose a novel approach to the foundations of quantum mechanics, based on the idea that the meaning of the formalism is already provided by the mathematics.In the traditional approach to quantum mechanics as initiated by Heisenberg, one has to start from a number of experimental results and then derive a set of rules and calculations that reproduce the observed experimental results. In such an inductive approach the underlying assumptions are not given at the outset. The reader has to figure them out, and this has proven to be difficult. The book shows that a different, bottom-up approach to quantum mechanics is possible, which merits further investigation as it demonstrates that with the methods used, the reader can obtain the correct results in a context where one would hitherto not expect this to be possible.

⭐Great to store our shoes under deco bench without having visible shoes. Also great for other odds and ends that you use often but can be kept out of site

⭐Well made, but doesn’t hold its shape well. We put a similarly sized cardboard box inside it for extra stability. We use it in a lower cabinet to hold our single stream recycling.

⭐It was too flimsy as I am using them for bins/ drawers in cubby holes so I returned them and bought something sturdier. Also two of the ones I ordered came with rope handles and not the ones pictured.

⭐I like the draw string cloth cover that closes to top of the basket. The color is attractive but unless the basket is filled to capacity, the sides lose their shape. I filled it with the grandkids dolls and stuffed animals. My original intention was to store the extra toilet paper and paper towels but again, if the tote is not totally filled, the sides cave.

⭐I use this item to hold folded lap robes and a neck pillow beside my recliner chair. That area now looks neat and tidy. And the basket is easy to move for vacuuming.

⭐It was well made and perfect for what I needed

⭐I bought this size to use for ‘presort’ laundry baskets on my shelf cubbies. They are perfect for this! Very sturdy and they can be overloaded and heavy and they are fine when transporting to the laundry room.Main ‘less than perfect’ comment: As you can see in the pic, the stripe location is not consistent. But you can’t beat the price! If you want close-to-perfect, go to pottery barn and pay a ton, ton, ton more for similar.Very, very happy. I also bought bigger ones for top shelves. I like those, too. All the same comments apply.

⭐This is a nice basket. It seems well made. It will not stay open without anything in it. It works for me though since I use it for throw blankets.
