Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I ordered this book as a gift for my sister, who was studying abroad. After she opened it, I briefly glimpsed through it and liked how it looked and how it was organized. It seemed to me to be concise and to the point. It also seemed like it would be of much help.
⭐Whenever we travel to a new country we try to get 3 guide books: The Eyewitness Guide, the “For Dummies” Guide, & the Rick Steves’ Guide. They all have differing focus & information. Combined together you get a very comprehensive overview of where you’ll be going so you can plan your time optimally.
⭐Not a lot of info I wanted such as bed and breakfast and placed to visit. But did have some good info about SIM card for overseas and currency exchange at ATM rather than bank. And a few other tidbits.
⭐This book is helping us to plan our trip to Scotland next summer. It is straight-forward with helpful information on things to do and see. I especially like the recommended itineraries for 1 vs. 2 weeks. I’m excited to use it when we are there!
⭐Like all the Dummy books this is a fine quick read of the highlights of Scotland – castles, lodging…what to see and do.Outside of the oddball and misplaced comments about ‘global warming’ and the impact on the weather in Scotland, it’s helpful.
⭐We used this book extensively when we traveled to Scotland last year. It is clear and easy to follow and gives very good descriptions of the countryside as well as the cities. Very worthwhile to any traveler who has not been to Scotland before.
⭐I especially appreciate the advice on driving in the UK.. I always buy the Dummies books. Just enough history to be informative but not too
⭐I just love Great Britain and my family is from Scotland. I think this book is very interesting and is sitting on my coffee table.
⭐This history outline is really helpful in giving understanding of Scotland today for a traveller.
⭐Great Book! Will really help me to plan my trip.
