    ⭐Banach space has been one of my favorite subjects for about ten years.When I bought

    ⭐was about the worse text on Banach spaces possible becausehe turned the complex plane 90 degrees in his treatment. This book by John Wermer makes me ashamedof mathematicians ( editors) who can allow men to encourage makingmathematics a language few can understand and many openly hate.Two major faults besides vocabulary are here in this book as well:1) no diagrams2) no problems.Other faults are a bad index, leaving out fundamentals of any analysisin terms of equations and definitions like the Poisson’s kerneland shift operators.This text is dreadful and one can only have extreme sympathyfor anyone who was forced as a requirement of graduationto take a course like this from such a bad teacher.A text that should be better for the reader is:
