⭐This is one of the classic books on the spectral theory of Sturm-Liouville equations with periodic coefficients. Sadly it is out of print with no sign of a reprint appearing in the near future.

⭐Being an engineer it is hard to find anyone interested in analytical optimal control/functional optimization or find good courses teaching this stuff (no, convex optimization or linear optimization is sometimes not enough)Pure math books can be daunting, and although philosophically satisfying, practically useless. This books fills that gap in concise and precise manner. I could teach myself optimal control and use it for research (engineering research) in solving some practical problems analytically!
