Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐This book is kept very simple, 100 pages, each page has one diagram. Most ofthe positions are in the late middle game. I gave up on trying to outguess allthe winning moves by Fischer. (I can guess at it, it might take four minutes or more, each one has a unexpected twist.) Fischer’s style was difficult, wide open, and bam !!For any player to be consistent at winning those open positions, a tremendousability and dedication is needed. Great work by Pandolfini, to keep it simple,to let the student or curious reader see for themselves Fischer’s intense style. The book gives the moves for each game in an appendix, no notes. (I wantedto see how the endgame turned out, last game, but the wrong game was listed.)Anyway, it is a great book to study Fischer’s tactics with those unexpected twists. The next step is to develop independent thinking after learning an opening repertoire– 1.e4 King’s Indian Attack for White (KIA), and when Black, try Attack with theFrench by Simon Williams (against 1. e4) and the King’s Indian Defense (KID) against1. d4 or 1. c4. Then, Michael Stean’s Simple Chess is excellent to learn expert strategy. If instead of the KIA for White (1.e4), there is the Colle system (1.d4, 2.c3). It leads toclosed games, so try awesome in concepts and specifics —- Edmar Mednis’ StrategicChess in Closed Games. It’s awesome for the instruction to build independent thinking.Robert Fischer had a wide open style, a style that takes a lot of time and dedication. When young he often relied on the KIA as White, and always KID as Black, also the Sicilian(before It became intensely studied out to 15 moves). Later, Kasparov saw tactical possibilitiesin the 1.d4 opening. (It’s why I mentioned Mednis! Also, Muller’s expert 222 d4 Traps!)For improving players, consider two or three examples of each opening in tactical Chernev’sWinning Chess Traps, 12-move games often difficult, in both 1.e4 and 1.d4. These can fittogether with the middle game tactics shown by Pandolfini’s excellent book on Fischer.Fischer wrote his own book, My 60 Memorable Games, it is very advanced. I mentioned hisrepertoire but, instead of Fischer’s choice of Sicilian, try the French by Williams, it’s step-by-step.

⭐I have many chess books. This one in particular is the most well rounded. You can pick it up and flip to any page and learn how a grand master sees the board. This book will teach you by example. The layout of this book is straight forward and easy to read… with or without a board in front of you. I highly recommend this book for all levels of play. It’s the book you keep in your car, your night stand, your locker or back pocket. You can pick it up SO easily. It will not bombard you will chess theory. If you are looking for a chess book get this one. Bobby Fischers moves are sometimes simple and sometimes not so simple but on both accounts this book will allow you to see through the eyes of Bobby Fischer and the highest level of chess.

⭐Any book covering the games of Bobby Fischer is always met with enthusiasm; and it really ought to always be that way. Fischer exemplified pure genius in his games and incredible tactical imagination. Bruce Pandolfini has collected combinations from 101 of Fischer’s games complete with clues to help you try to discover what Ficsher came up with as well as brief commentary on each combination.Fischer’s moves really were the epitome of what makes this game of chess so beautiful. Any of us would be so lucky to gain even a fraction of the genius Fischer demonstrated on the chess board. In lieu of that, Pandolfini’s book permits us to appreciate his ideas by attempting to solve them ourselves – well worth the time for any chess player.

⭐I really enjoy this book very much. I like the relatively large chess diagrams and the format of the book. I play chess for fun but I am always trying to improve my game and this book has helped me to see a little more deeply into some positions. This book is an excellent example of the use of different tactics such as decoys, deflection, sacrifices etc. Besides the use of tactics what I also learned from this book is that Bobby Fischer had a very keen ability to detect even the most subtle weakness in an opponents position and how he exploited it. Very entertaining.

⭐Good to have this book of the greatest chess champion in the history of the game

⭐Dont wait around if you can find a cheap one get it . its fischer the best next to karpov. all fisher books are instructive unlike the mass produce bait and switch that is out there today in the area of chess instruction. you will not be disapointed.

⭐This book is both challenging and fun. Through this complilation you see the genius of Fischer, and can be done in about five minute intervals. This book is perfect for reposing Roden’s The Thinker. For intense study, the applicable games are transcribed in the back of the book. BUY THIS BOOK

⭐Great instruction and insight!

⭐Really enjoyed solving the positions in this book. Even if you don’t get it right first time, the ideas involved become lodged in your memory. Have always thought of Bobby Fischer as one of the very best players, and Bruce Pandolfini as one of the very best teachers.

⭐This one may be the most insightful, simple, enjoyable, unique, and practical of all my chess books. I found it trained my mind to observe the obligations and duties of each playing piece (which Fischer exploited quite well) As for chess play creativity and thinking outside the box, this is a great book. I Notation for each game in in the back also.
