Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I’ve read several books concerning the grieving process since the recent death of my wife of 44 years. As odd as it might sound, this was the best overall book of all of them. It covers a lot of ground and discusses the various grieving processes that occur in different grieving situations, e.g. loss of spouse, or parent, or child, or even a pet. I found it to not only be a guide for the grieving party, but also for people who want to interact and help the grieving party. There is not any medical jargon or other confusing wording. It is written in an easily readable text. I guess my only negative comment would be that the author occasionally tries to make a small chuckle which, to me, seemed totally out of place considering the nature of the subject.
⭐I belong to a grief support group and am always looking for new books for our library. I was intrigued by this book and had to purchase. It is quite a good book and written very well. Many chapters on various types of grief and kudos to the author, Greg Harvey, for saying, “The Loss of Children……. the cruelest loss of all.” I can attest to that. While I don’t want to diminish anyone’s grief, the loss of a child is truly a very difficult loss to endure.
⭐I am still reading this at the suggestion of my psychologist following the sudden death of my husband. So far I have found it helpful.
⭐I thought this had stories and was disappointed bc I’m going through a very painful grieving not your fault I should have read the message
⭐So So but my first experience
⭐these ‘dummy’ books are great. full of useful facts, never boring explains things in layman’s terms. not technical. that’s why I like many books in this series. very helpful!

⭐This book is so informative and comforting to anyone going through the agony of Grief. I lost myMom in October last year and this book has been a huge help. Just having obvious things pointedout to you in a gentle way is so comforting and gives you strength and hope you can continue in life
⭐Having lost our Mother earlier in the year to cancer it has been for myself and my Brother an extremely difficult time, I so wish I had found this book before it has helped to understand my own feelings before our loss which I knew was going to be all too quick. It has helped me to understand my Brothers feelings and what he is having to deal with, also it was his first loss so it has been very hard. The book is helping me to help him through and I would recommend this to anyone who has lost someone recently or in the past and having problems coming to terms with losing someone, no you never get over it, but it does help you to carry on and understand how and why you are feeling such extremes of emotions.
⭐this book helping at a very difficult time in my life
