Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐The “Dummies” franchise is notoriously uneven with lots of low-quality titles and a relatively few good ones. “Google Blogger For Dummies” is a winner. Susan Gunelius effortlessly walks the reader through the history of blogs and Blogger, in particular, the mechanics of starting, maintaining and growing a blog and ehnhancing your blog with templates, widgets, elements and gadgets. Then Gunelius segues into “Making Money with Blogger”. This section is surprisingly well done and thorough. It lists a number of resources for monetizing your blog and has a pretty detailed discussion of Google’s AdSense program. Gunelius then moves on to networking and relationship building. All in all, Susan Gunelius has turned out a very usable guide to getting started with Google Blogger, growing into as sophisticated a blog as you like and, if you are so moved (and have enough traffic), monetizing and growing it. Good work. Do remember that this guide is oriented toward Blogger beginners. If you’d like a good introduction to WordPress, Google Blogger’s major competitor, checkout another “dummies” title,

⭐I really like this book, but when I purchased it I didn’t pay attention to the date that it was written. After looking at many of the examples in the book, I realized it was published in 2009. I’m finding the information to be useful, but I know that there’s much more that I’m missing due to all of the changes in the past six years. I just wish this was updated.
⭐This is great information, I just wish there was an updated version. Some of the information is no longer relevant.
⭐Out dated.
⭐I was disappointed in the book. It is recommended by the Blog site but it was not basic enough for me to read and try to improve the blog I have already started . I needed practical instruction about editing what I already had written and where to find the button to allow me into the parts I needed to correct or update. I read the book and also went through the book step by step and still not find the instructions I needed.
⭐This book is so OUT OF DATE it’s impossible to use. The Blogger platform has changed dramatically since 2009 (when the book was published) that all the photos and information don’t look anything like what Blogger is now. Amazon, shame on you for continuing to sell this book. The copy I bought is going the only place it can go — right into the trash.
⭐This is a good book but it is totally out of date. The Blogger home page is completely different and the layout of the software for creating posts is also different so the step by step instructions (which I needed to start creating my blog) were not helpful. Amazon should not be selling such an old book, especially one designed for newbies or if they do it needs to be completely updated.
⭐I’ve had my blog up and running for a couple of weeks and decided to get this book to help fill in some gaps in what I had learned on my own. I was not disappointed. It is easy to just take a chapter at a time and you can skip around as needed. It is a great reference book. I have a Kindle and started to buy that version, but decided to go with the hardcopy. This was a good call as I have highlighted and dog-eared a lot of the pages so I can easily flip to sections I need to reference. While you can learn a lot about Blogger online, I find it helpful on my eyes to get away from the computer screen every now and then and read a “real” book. Also, there aren’t many books exclusively devoted to Blogger (like this one)so this was also a real plus. One of the ways the book helped me the most, was in creating a unique domain name for my blog. I wanted to have a url that didn’t have the .blogspot.com at the end of it. The author walked me through the steps and it took all of 5 minutes! This alone saved me a lot of time and was worth the price of the book. […]Good luck with your blogging!
⭐It seems to me that the one-star review for this book is unduly harsh. The book is certainly not a rip-off.Some years ago I ran a fairly successful blog of my own, using Blogger as the host; eventually I had to give it up because of shortage of time. I was recently asked to advise a friend on how to start a new one, so I bought this book to refresh my memory. In my judgement this is a most helpful and easy-to-follow guide, covering all the main points and providing a step-by-step procedure for many of the necessary steps. The only drawback is that the currently available edition is now a couple of years old, and Blogger, like everything else online, is continually under development. So some of the on-screeen windows have changed in their titles and tabs, compared with those illustrated in the book. In one or two cases, more detailed information would also be useful, e.g. how to register the blog with Technorati, a procedure which is, frankly, a pain in the arse.Otherwise, well worth the price.
⭐Technology moves fast, this was out of date. Unable to check date, all ready got rid of it. However this was well packed and delivered promptly.
⭐Not found.
⭐Useful information for begginer! You Will learn the basics of Blogger. But it is not up to date. Still à good way to start in the blogosphere.
⭐received the book on time a little deform but not too bad.The inside is fine not a problem.for the price it is a good buy.Thank you
