⭐Beautifully written

⭐Very disappointing. As the other reviewer said….”through a glass darkly”. That’s putting it gently.Yes, the author is very learned. I’ll try to give my copy away….

⭐This is a difficult but worthwhile read; it is a source of information about figures of speech, some of which shade into each other. The author did an enormous amount of research and the book is best read in short sessions so that the subject “jells”. Put your thinking caps on: you need to be something of a scholar to keep going.

⭐Brilliant writer – academic – some sections are a little more detailed. Overall, very inspiring read.
