User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐A solid group of action stories covering a variety of genres, but all united with a common theme: something has to happen. Favorite stories from this collection are: “Retrieving Abe,” “Brave Day Sunk in Hideous Night,” and “Circus to Boulougne.” In my opinion, a good short story encourages you to go and find more from the same writers, which this definitely does. A slight mark against is that some of the stories feel like they are trying to tell a bigger story than the word limit allowed, and thus there is a feeling of incompleteness to them. Still, if you want a solid selection of stories you could do much, much worse (and not much better) than this collection.

⭐The stories are diverse as possible, horror western to classic sci fi to Noir on Mars to a classic WWII tale, but each is surprisingly good. I’m hoping the next issue maintains this level of quality.

⭐This is like finding a gem in a thrift store. I haven’t enjoyed short stories in a while and this collection is so refreshing

⭐I bought this because my co-worker’s story is featured in this publication. The stories are rather good, so if you are looking for a good read check it out.

⭐StoryHack continues on with its pulp mission to provide action adventure tales of derring-do, regardless of genre. Issue #1 provides a mix of science fiction, fantasy, westerns and even a few touches of horror and urban fantasy. Heck, there are also steampunk and supernatural detective stories, too!In addition to story content, I have a print copy and it’s very good production quality.I enjoyed some stories more than others but that is to be expected. They are all quality tales. There’s enough in this issue to satisfy anyone’s pulp sweet tooth.Give it a read!

⭐A fun read, well-constructed and professional in all aspects. I was particularly a fan of the stories by Frost, West, and Adamson, but I suspect that every story will be somebody’s favorite.
