User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I know this book can be found for free online but I was hoping to find a nice print copy to use offline. My issue with the print version from this seller is that they didn’t seem to make any effort to crop off the metadata border that’s found on the free PDF version on mit.edu. Every page has a line like: [ “mcs” — 2017/6/5 — 19:42 — page 13 — #21 ] on the very top, which could’ve easily been cropped out with a little bit of effort. The alignment of the printed pages also wastes a lot of space. There’s about an inch and a half wasted to the left of the text on every right-side page, as well as an inch that could be cut off from the bottom of every page. The binding issue/bent pages only appears to be on the last 10 pages so not a huge deal.

⭐This is a review for the kindle version. It appears to be converted directly from a pdf, which causes 2 main problems. 1) It creates typos by missing spaces (“ofn” instead of “of n”). 2) Footnotes break up the text. When you are reading the text, it will cut off mid-sentence and go right into the footnote that was at the bottom of the page. These issues made it hard to understand on kindle. I can’t speak to the book’s quality in paperback or hardcover.

⭐This book is so poorly bound the pages immediately started falling out.

⭐This might be an excellent book, however it is utterly unreadable on the Kindle. If even one editor had looked at one page the product would have been withdrawn. An insulting lack of quality control.

⭐Hardcover – Publisher: Samurai Media Limited (8 Mar 2017)The text itself is awesome, but it’s available online, so the one star is an evaluation of the quality of the print. It looks as if someone printed it on their home-printer and then glued a hideous cardboard cover on it. It’s the ugliest and most poorly made book I have ever owned. The €50 price for this sorry excuse of a book daylight robbery. So much typos !Totalement illisible : plus de formules fausses que de formules justes. Tout est bien tant qu’il n’y a pas de formule.Inutilisable car illisible.Comment obtenir un remboursement ??Very bad page layout in paperback version.

⭐Mathematical symbols do not render properly which makes the kindle version useless.
