Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Yes it’s a Dummy book and as such doesn’t assume much on the reader’s part so if you’re already pretty advanced and up to date with AutoCAD 3D Modeling then save your money. On the other hand, if you only want or need to get up to speed on R2008’s interface and 3D features, the 3D Modeling Workbook is probably just what you are looking for. It’s not going to teach you how to create sophisticated, photo-real models but by the time you are finished you will know and be able to use virtually all of the commands and tools AutoCAD provides for 3D modeling. Add your talent and skill and you’re good to go.One warning: While the exercises are generally short and sweet, they are numerous so be prepared to spend a couple of hours on each chapter (23 total) as they are true substance of the book.

⭐Do not buy this book if you’re running AutoCAD 2011, as I am. You’ll have problems because of the ribbons and other changes Autodesk made since 2008. Also, instead of teaching 3D, like the book’s title says, the author spends the first 100 pages teaching basic AutoCAD skills. The included lesson files also have some glitches; a real hassle when you’re learning stuff until you find out it’s not you, it’s the file or the instructions that are screwed up.

⭐I was extremely disappointed that my professor would assign this book.Overall it was OK.Very easy to read, but it lacked some important explanations.
