⭐Being the language specification, this is definitely one of the most thorough books on Java SE 8. It is a good reference that is easy to read. This is a very helpful companion to those who program in Java. Be advised that you can download this for free in HTML or PDF formats from Oracle’s site.

⭐Compare how Annotated C++ Reference Manual was written. Every clause explained in text is provided with a code example.This book line after line looks like ARM for Java Minus Examples. Without examples reading and correlating and learning is impossible.Please provide the much needed examples otherwise a programmer needs to refer to so many other books for everything.

⭐In a quest to explain the concept in the most generic terms while keeping details precise in every regard, the explanation became complex. It does give the most definite explanation. But what use is it of if a 99% precise explanation can be given in much simpler terms. Would you invest yourself for that 1% at the cost of complexity, especially considering that even that 1% can be explained in simpler terms by adding some redundancy to your explanation.The fact is that this book is not designed to teach Java but to mention it’s implementation specifications. Now, the question is, do you need a book to learn java or a book to keep track of the behavior of java language. If you choose option 2, you may buy this book. But I don’t think even a java application professional would require it, considering that they have other sources to understand the details in much simpler terms.

⭐Why am I first to comment on this book! This book should have tons of comments. It is the BEST! Look no more if you are serious about learning JAVA language. I mean I normally do not give any review but I am writing for it. The authors themselves are the original creators of the JAVA programming language. You will need very basic knowledge of java or any other object oriented language before using this book, but once you have that this book will become your bible. This book does not waste pages with any superfluous (and stupid) words .As a result every word of this book is equally important and the book as a whole is very compact and fast to read. This book is more like an instruction manual that comes with a product you buy than an academic book. Every scientific and technical books should be written like this! Also print quality of the book is very good. LOVE it!

⭐If you are new to Java, this book is not for you. But if you know java at intermediate level, you must read this book to become an java language expert.
