    Description

This book offers new reflections on the life world, from both phenomenological and hermeneutic perspectives. It presents a prism for a new philosophy of science and technology, especially including the social sciences but also the environment as well as questions of ethics and philosophical aesthetics in addition to exploring the themes of theology and religion.Inspired by the many contributions made by the philosopher Joseph Kockelmans, this book examines the past, present and future prospects of hermeneutic phenomenology. It raises key questions of truth and method as well as highlights both continental and analytic traditions of philosophy.Contributors to The Multidimensionality of Hermeneutic Phenomenology include leading scholars in the field as well as new voices representing analytic philosophers of science, hermeneutic and phenomenological philosophers of science, scholars of comparative literature, theorists of environmental studies, specialists in phenomenological ethics and experts in classical hermeneutics.

    User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I am not reviewing the essays – I bought the book because I wanted to read them and could not get the book at my univ. library – hard to fathom why they did not want to spend 179 dollars.I am incensed by the completely unacceptable formatting of the Kindle file. One could expect for an electronic file sold at no discount, that someone might have at least been tasked to launched the file to see if the automatic formatting for kindle produced acceptable results. I am tempted to shame the authors – for the scholars – not the publishers are responsible for the work. Yet I feel they are as much a victim of an unbelievably mercenary publisher as am I sitting here reading grotesquely formatted text. I freely, if not gladly spent 179 dollars to read some articles NOW rather than wait till I am back in the States. I expect Springer to deliver an acceptably formatted text, full stop. If streaming to kindle standard is beyond your technical capacities, have someone scan the text and deliver a pdf as in jstor. Shocked at the pathetic quality standards and incensed that Amazon would deliver such a shabby, shoddy product! Peter
