⭐During my bachelor and master studies at the HAW Hamburg I attended several classes of Prof. Dr. Schmidt. The book confirms the very good impression I had from the lectures, is easy to read and definitely worth its money.Since the book is structured really well, the reader’s introduction to thermodynamics is simplified. Not only are the basics of thermodynamics described, but also complex topics. Therefore, the book can be used beyond academic studies (doctoral studies, professional life of the engineer, …).Numerous illustrations and diagrams make the content easier to understand. Calculation examples are carried out regularly in order to apply the acquired knowledge. The detailed solution is given for these examples and usually, alternative solutions are also shown.

⭐The tasks and examples contributed most to the understanding of thermodynamics. I used the book to prepare for my exam. The book’s structure fulfils all my expectations and guides me well through all relevant topics.
