⭐This book is an extension of Kingman’s seminal paper on Poisson-Dirichlet process. It is posed on genetics point of view. I’ve only read up to page 18, but the theorems and definitions are not self-contained, and requires a fair amount of background in analysis and stochastic process. I’ve read the original Kingman paper, and it had better notation and explanations in my opinion. I like the fact that the book covers many related topics such as different ways of obtaining Poisson-Dirichlet process. I would recommend this book if you already know the field, and want to get pointers to related topics.
