⭐In the 21st century things aren’t as they were 45 years ago in San Francisco. This set of articles would gave most people heart burn…all theory and no function , matrices to work with. What I found was two areas that aren’t really covered much in modern books:1) quasi-conformal mappings of groups2) Eichler cohomology and integralsThe idea of modular forms coming from extremal quasi-comformal functional maps was also new to me.The area theorems seem to be coming before the future volumes of hyperbolic 3 manifolds. Deformation and discontinuousness don’t seem to mean what they appear from the words…A lot of these lectures are just “fundations” laid for a science that followed and they gave me ideas and filled insome of my understanding of how these Kleinian group sets work.This book isn’t for the faint at heart, because some of the theory and notation is just plain hard.I still have a lot to learn…Schottki groups are pretty much left out here and nowhere in all the Fuchsian and Quasi-Fuchsian talk is a triangle group mentioned.
