Non è per nulla pedante e la descrizione del viaggio è sempre finalizzata alla condivisione degli aspetti più curiosi dello sviluppo delle piante. Molto bello!

⭐This book is about 3 botanists colleagues/friends and their trips to exotic cactus locales in South America. They are passionate about Cacti, naturally. If you like weird plants you will enjoy this book. There are lots of amusing travel anecdotes, good colour pictures and of course many details of cacti little known except to specialists. There are also details about unusual cacti to grow and suggestions on horticulture. The interactions of the 3 friends add to the readability of the book.You’re probably a cactus lover or you wouldn’t be reading this, so buy this book now.

⭐My hobby/obsession is collecting cacti. My days of exotic travelling are over, but it is nice to hear stories of adventurous travellers. There is much text, however, I rated Ken Preston Mafham’s Cati and succulents in Habitat as five stars because of the great photographs.

⭐The Book, “A Cactus Odyssey: Journeys in the Wilds of Bolivia, Peru, and Argentina” written by James D. Mauseth is a fascinating read about cactus in their natural settings and the journeys to find them. There were many trials and tribulations involved in their travels. It’s the best book about cactus that any aficionado would want to read. The reader is made to feel as if along for the ride.
