This book is motivated by the scarcity of global optimization test problems and represents the first systematic collection of test problems for evaluating and testing constrained global optimization algorithms. This collection includes problems arising in a variety of engineering applications, and test problems from published computational reports.

⭐This is a truly comprehensive set of test problems (some quite challenging), assembled by Professor Floudas of Princeton University, one of the maestros of formal mathematical optimization. Many of the problems are sure bets to defeat most home-grown codes, I think. Add these to the sets assembled by Professor K. Schittkowski and you’ll stay busy (and happy) trying to solve some real ticklers.
