⭐This is a wonderful classic work— some of the terminology has moved on in the last 110 years but this is a great collection of material, at a level that is difficult to find among more contemporary works (which are either more narrow, or more abstract.)Sadly this edition does the work a great disservice, so poorly scanned that much of the work is either difficult or downright impossible to decipher, and is frankly worthless in places. Quite disrespectful of the work, the author and the reader.The old Dover reprint is much better.

⭐The reproduction is simply unacceptable. A pdf is available in the public domain, for example G**gle books – the reproduction here is actually worse than the pdf just mentioned.

⭐Bad impression. Missing parts of the equations, the paper is of poor quality bond. Full of misprints. The text was simply unreadable. Will be printed on a home printer that? Money thrown away, read a pdf any better.

⭐Libro inutilizzabile come testo di geometria differenziale.Un buon numero di formule risultano indecifrabili per come sono riprodotte.Le formule che capitano sul fondo di una pagina vengono spesso tagliate, Per esempio a pagina 31 sul fondo della pagina dovrebbe comparire una formula composta di tre righe tutto quello che rimane e’ la meta’ superiore di un ‘Delta s’ parte della prima delle tre righe.Ad un esame rapido, senza un confronto con una riproduzione decente, ho trovato delle formule tagliate in modo da comprometterne il significato al fondo delle pagine: 16, 31, 44, 48, 74, 75, 79, 86, 91, 96, 132, 134, 160, 164, 182, 190, 204, 205, 213, 229, 233, 239, 242, 247, 294, 313, 355, 356, 364, 396, 451.
