⭐Pretty good text book for PDE. Shipped and got to your house within a week. $80 brand-new paper back bc I got it a month after the semester started.
⭐This is fairly well-written, and it was not too bad to try to understand it. I had almost no background in differential equations, since I simply got approval to go into a second-semester differential equations course without taking the first semester. In the class, I still ended up with a B+, which shows how accessible this book actually is.
⭐Great for self-study. There are a lot of words, but it is a textbook. There are no wasted words. Each step being taken is fully explained and reasoned so that the process can be applied to the exercises. Definitely unusual for a mathematics text, but excellent for help solving PDEs.I used this text in an introductory PDE class, a requirement for engineers. Will be looking to take a more advanced class on the subject. One of the textbooks I bought after renting.
⭐This book presents a clear and concise development of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) based on physical applications. It only assumes a basic knowledge of ordinary differential equations and physics. The text is developed clearly but still rigorous enough for both math and physics students, with only a few lengthy derivations omitted for length. This is an excellent first textbook on PDEs for advanced undergraduates or beginning graduate students.
⭐This isn’t a very good textbook for partial differential equations. I prefer Asmar’s Partial Differential Equations Textbook from Dover, it’s cheap and a far superior text.
⭐My husband is super particular about math textbooks. There have only been a few that he likes. This is one he said that he will not be returning at the end of the semester, because he likes it so much.
⭐grandson used it for his college course
⭐Not the best book. But whatever. It’s the one my prof chose.
⭐Not easy book for self study, and without any professor help quite difficult to grasp. Furthermore if you are buying for MTECH, then topic are not arranged in lucid way.Prefer only if professor assistance is available always.
⭐Printing quality is bad
⭐not favourite
⭐The subject material met my expectations.
⭐The letter is small. The spacing is too small too. No colors not even bold letters to emphasize important formulas or conclusions. The content and explanations are very good
