User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Needed to help my son but I don’t know anything about Calculus.

⭐The book has been helpful in understanding more difficult topics. Examples used are relatively simple. Only complaint is the “new” condition it came in, bent pages that stick together occasionally.

⭐Easy to follow and math made simple.

⭐Places things in simpler terms…so happy

⭐I struggled with Calc I and Calc II for a whole year. This book is good for people who need another way to look at Calculus but, not necessarily to teach you the subject. I used it because it took some complicated topics like trig sub and gave me a different way to look at it. That said, if I hadn’t been taught it first I think the book confused me more. It’s definitely worth it if you not completely lost but not completely there either.

⭐This book single handedly saved my semester. Is very easy to understand and was a great help in almost everway

⭐I own a lot of the “for dummies” math books and they’re generally great for reviewing concepts, this one included. However, I 100% recommend getting the workbook version instead. Same content plus practice problems and examples.

⭐My impression is that it’s more of a Calculus for Dummies Continued. And it works very well as that. Get both. There are definitely some mistakes, and they’re confusing if you’re not confident about the material. The first example on page 58 and the third row of Table 4-1 should be equivalent, for example, but P. 58 is incorrect. I love Wiley books in general and the simplified explanations in this particular book. The only trouble is that the humorous titles shadow the content making it difficult to use the book as a reference.

⭐A perfectly good e-book, albeit with a few minor errors, ruined by the choice of an absurdly small typeface for mathematical formulae. The author deserves much better from those entrusted to publish his work. A legible font size is a simple matter of diligent proofreading and a single keystroke. Change the offending font size and this could have been a 4 or 5 star rating.

⭐Doing a maths and stats degree, but always struggled with calculus, and this book really sets it all out in easily learnable steps.Perfect for strugglers with C4 and further maths style integration.

⭐The “For Dummies” format is popular for a reason; their Authors are well-vetted and well-seasoned in their respective field(s) of expertise. I highly recommend these, as well as ALL of their Authors.I also highly recommend Chris McMullen, as a Sciences Author. Please do look him up, on Amazon, as I cannot get enough of this Author’s works, owning more than a dozen of his books; his writing is concise, logical, methodical, organized and his passion for imparting knowledge is much felt. His books are also much cheaper than those of other, sadly much less evolved Authors. Do NOT hesitate to buy ANY, if not ALL, of his books. This man is absolutely brilliant! Follow him as well, to be kept abreast of any new works of his, as these are published. I plan to get ALL of his books, being a volunteer Sciences Tutor.

⭐I bought this book a few months ago and I was quite impressed. The book is clearly written and is easy to understand like it claims to be. There is also humor from time to time. Some people were complaining that most of the answers to the examples are 1 or 0, this is not entirely true. Some of the examples involving numbers being plugged resulted in 0 or 1, not all of them. The author does this deliberately so it is easy to follow. The book claims to be easy to understand. If all of the answers resulted in ((x^ 7 +4x^3-2x^2-sqrt(x))/ sin(x^3) ), the author would clearly be a liar since this would be difficult to comprehend (this is not the case). I would definitely recommend it to someone who needs a little bit of extra help with Calculus 2 or wants to get a head start and wants to get the basics down before taking the actual class.

⭐Also bought for a friend and they are pleased with it.
