⭐I, who is a big puzzle fanatic and loves brain teasers, recommend you this book. I cannot stress how fun the problems were to do in this book during a weekend on the couch. The problems are exactly what the book says “Ingenious, Perplexing, and Totally Satisfying.” When you buy this book you are buying a subscription to days on days of entertainment. Just do it already…

⭐The author of this book has many other books. This book is about puzzles and daily math problems. Its slightly hard in the beginning but you will fall in love with it as soon as you got hang of itI love every book is written by this author. One of his books is “Grapes of math”. I have read that about 10 times. Its my true favorite book and I love it so much that I purchased 3 volumes of it and has a special place in my library and my heart. By the way it is sold for a small price of $9 at Amazon.com.Mr. Bellos has a special way of teaching math subjects. It is clear by reading his books that he has well understood the subject himself. This is a very important point. I cannot recommend this author’s masterpieces enough. By the way the price is quite fair

⭐Got this for my middle schooler who is a math whiz. It keeps her busy on our car rides to soccer practice. She said many of the problems are way too easy and are solved too quickly and easily. She wished the problems were more challenging.

⭐I bought this for my kids, and we work through the problems together– but for a bright 10 yr old and his 8 yr old brother, these are pretty tough. For their dad– they’re still pretty tough! So if you buy this for kids make sure you either have mensa members or you’re able to work with them, or else it may be frustrating.Well written, clear answers, and interesting puzzles. Overall, a very solid book.

⭐Absolutely superb! I’ve read/done a lot of puzzle books, not more than a dozen of these were familiar to me. They are consistently challenging, but solvable. And I’ve loved every other book of his, too.

⭐The elegantly simple puzzle on the cover, appropriate for children, is not representative of the book content. Vast majority of the puzzles in the book are for adults. My daughter opened the book and said, “too many words and not enough puzzles.”

⭐Perfect gift for someone who loves crosswords, logic puzzles, and math games. It is a puzzle book which includes history of the puzzle. My husband hasn’t put it down!

⭐I was really enjoying this book of puzzles, some of which are very challenging, until I hit a multiple choice problem taken from an old SAT exam. I thought I had the right answer but it wasn’t any of the options, so I figured I must be missing something. After thinking about it for a long time, I gave up and peeked at the answer… turns out I had the right answer, and the SAT question was wrong. Seriously? This is a puzzle book, why not just leave out the (wrong!) multiple choice answers, or at least give a hint that they might be wrong? And by hint, I mean something a bit more suggestive than what the author wrote, which was: “Only 3 out of 300000 students got the correct answer! Will you?” Incredibly frustrating and silly way to frame the puzzle.

⭐Challenging puzzles with interesting additional information. Great for group events

⭐If you are up for word problems this is the book. A great book for kids of all ages. Approved by many of my teacher friends.
