⭐It took me a while to read this book, but learning Python has become quite easy with this book. After reading this book, It is a perfect book for someone who is new to programming and wants to learn Python language basics, including some advanced features. As mentioned, this book covers a lot of basics and other programs and syntax of python language are all described in an engaging manner. The author manages to convey the more complex concepts in a good way by breaking them down in chapters along with proper examples. I highly recommended this book to all who want to learn python programming language.

⭐The author clearly knows his material, and the book is sensibly organized. However, the writing and editing are of such poor quality that it adds a significant layer of confusion to the material. This added inaccessibility was enough to discourage me, as an experienced programmer, from using it as a reference book. For the student or novice programmer trying to gain competency in python, I have to imagine that this book would be even worse as a source. I don’t endorse this book, which is a shame, given the amount of knowledgeable information in it.

⭐Far from complete, book even starts buy saying that they won’t cover the basics introduced in the previous book. I’ve been programming in various languages for more than 30 years whole nota full time programmer I think I should be able to pick up a new language with a few examples but this book just left me confused and lost. I returned it for a refund and will have to find a half decent reference elsewhere.

⭐This is not a book for beginners it is at best a reference book.

⭐I don’t mind buying his beginner Python book. But I didn’t know about it until after I bought this one because it doesn’t tell you until the second to last page. Don’t buy this unless you already know what you’re doing.

⭐This is an amazing book for beginners like myself who are trying to learn programming language, although I have a little bit of experience with Java script and C++ this book really introduces you to Python programming the basics but is not dumb-down that an intermediate won’t get great value out of it. Highly recommended for beginners.

⭐This is a great book. In fact it is two books in one. It is a tutorial for learning the basics of Python and a cookbook with the many examples and solutions to typical problems. Considering the cost of a good tutorial and a good cookbook in printed form, it is quite a bargain.

⭐I am totally new to Python and had no idea where to start, with only some experience with other programs.This book has really taken me from beginner through intermediate, outlining all of the important elements and explaining them in depth.James P. Long has written a remarkable book and i highly recommend it!

⭐Exceptionally badly written. Shows zero understanding of the needs of students new to the language. The author’s attempts to explain concepts are pathetic. Warning bells should have rung when I read the first line of the description on the sales page, which reads, “The Book is Quick and Easy Guide to learn Python Programming”. Why not, “This book is a quick and easy guide to learning Python programming”? Further, the very first line of the introduction reads, “Python is a wide used general, high-level programming language.” Why not, “Python is a widely used, general high-level programming language.”?I’m sorry, Mr Long, but I’ve applied for a refund.
