Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Awesome book. Everything you need to know is in this book
⭐no complaints
⭐I look forward to tapping into
⭐great book easy to understand
⭐Helpful in addressing my fitness goals
⭐liked
⭐Several minor grammar mistakes and a couple parts it appears incomplete: that is in the part where you are to assess your initial strength, the book says do these 3 tests but it doesn’t articulate ow to assess your strength. Decent book though, lot of good exercises.
⭐I should know better than to buy these for dummy books because they are not for dummy’s but the information they give is for maybe a 6 year old. Anybody that has done any type exercise at all in their life is going to get absolutely nothing from this book.
⭐First sixty pages suggest why we should exercise our cores – already bought the book so seems pointless to have this self promotion from the author except that she gets to mention a couple of other books she’s written.Basic errors with descriptions and picture numbers not corresponding, descriptions of the plank where you lift off your elbows and the picture showing the model in the press up position.Exercise description and pictures often not on the same page which makes it difficult to follow.Instead of a list of different exercises each chapter is a plan so a lot of the exercise descriptions are repeated and with the same errors. The information you want is probably all in there (at 338 pages) but this book is poorly planned and poorly executed and probably 200 pages longer than it needed to be.
⭐This is a good all round book on the subject of ‘the core’. It is packed full of information about how to work your core from all angles. It’s got something in it for everyone ; the beginner, the runner, someone that would like to improve their posture. I was particularly impressed to find a section for kids, you don’t see that often.Personally, I’m not a beginner. I have a reasonable level of fitness and have been using workout DVDs for about 6 months. This book compliments what I’m already doing by giving a good theoretical background and the exercises are presented in a fun and friendly way. This makes it enjoyable to follow. There are plenty of photos with descriptions which helps to ensure that you are maintaining your all important form.I really liked using this book and it has delivered on it’s promises as I can see definite improvments to my core. The only problem now is I may have to purchase new crop tops in order to show off my new trim 6 pack (not!)
⭐great info in this book very clearly set out
⭐Good
