Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I bought this book before attending a Crystal Report class for our new Front end system. This walks you through with ease. Easy to understand even if your not as experienced as I was. Lives up to the “For Dummies” name.
⭐The book is alright but once you get the hang of things, we will start to crave for more information.
⭐Awesome!
⭐As with all books in this series, well at least were they relate to computers, it gives you a good introduction. It won’t make you an expert overnight, but it will give you a lot more than the basics. It can also be used as a reference when you come into a new requirement. If you have never used a report writer before, it will not make you an expert overnight, but it will at least get you started.
⭐The book is really awesome. It did arrive in a little bit of a dilapidated condition but other than that I have no issues with it. The format is understandable, and easy to read. I would order from the Goodwill people again, and I’m in the process of looking for an advanced Crystal Reports 2008 for dummies. Keep up the excellent work!
⭐Received on time and as expected.
⭐This book is exactly what you would expect in a “…for Dummies” book. It covers the basics of the topic in an accessible and intelligible way, covering all the basics and getting you on your way to designing simple but usable reports. It doesn’t offer much intermediate information, and literally nothing advanced, but then again you aren’t buying a “…for Dummies” book for that type of stuff. The coverage is adequate, though the section on integrating Crystal Reports with other applications is so simple it’s not really useful. However, the flow is very easy to follow, the process is completely documented, and the text is written in an enjoyable and semi-funny style. One thing I will say is that there is not much different between this edition and the “Crystal Reports XI for Dummies” edition of a few years back. This edition has been updated, but the changes in the fundamentals of the program are so minor that for this basic coverage they’re nearly non-existent.
⭐Ok my sister still struggled but maybe that was her
⭐I bought this book to help at work when I started using Crystal Reports. It’s good and shows you the basics of the software in the usual for Dummies style (pretty clear and sometimes funny). Am pleased I bought it, as it’s also very good to dip in and out of when working on a custom report.I am not an expert with computers or programming, but I do pick things up quite quickly. And this book really helped with Crystal reports, I now have a good solid grounding and am able to create the reports I need to.
⭐excellent book for beginners to crystal. Not too techie but balanced right to understand the basics. May be a little too basic for the more advanced requirements.
⭐Excellent
⭐Purchased this book but the book content has nothing to do with Crystal Reports. The COVER says it’s Crystal Reports, but inside the pages, it’s actually about The Middle East. Great if you want to learn about The Middle East, but doesn’t help me at all.
