⭐A few simple thoughts here:One, If you are reading this review then I would generally take that as you are interested in Philosophy – or horribly lost. IN either case, this is a very interesting read and full of things that will kick start your brain into thinking or seeing things in a different way. How you digest these thoughts if of your on volition.Two: The book is free on kindle…. So there is nothing to lose aside from the few hours it should take you to read this book (or perhaps a tad bit long if you take Schopenhauer advice and read everything twice.) And if you can’t stand his way of seeing things, you can always stop. Nothing to lose but time, and lets face it: IF you are interested in philosophy you are already a master at “wasting” time.I enjoyed this collection of essays. Considering you have nothing to lose by downloading this for your kindle – IF you are into philosophy and enjoy reading and pondering this book might just be for you.

⭐For those who like non-PC thinkers (and his ideas about women are 100 times more objectionable than the ones that got Larry Summers fired as President of Harvard), this guy is remarkably interesting. Many ideas and quotations that have come into widespread use originated with him. An example: Truly new ideas are first thought absurd, then horrifying, then obvious.” The guy is also a terrific writer.

⭐Perfect new book .

⭐Arthur schopenhauer is one of the Godfathers of philosophy his work must be read by any professed student of philosophy

⭐Is ok, Cant do much better for the price, Can be a slow read at some times in the book.

⭐I find the writings to be amongst the best ever written. There are things to ponder all throughout.

⭐Easy to read.. made lot of good point that are timeless..I will read again and again.

⭐Not really a proper book in the strictest sense. It’s a print to order by amazon’s internal repro unit so if you like that sort of thing then go for it. It’s so dry you could sand down some kitchen units with it.

⭐This edition is absolutely terrible on Kindle. Every sentence is broken into hanging pargraphs! It’s unreadable. I’d like to get a refund.

⭐Agree with his philosophy or not, his writing is brilliant. I am always amazed how well he translates into english…perhaps as he was extensively educated in England. Always profound, always stimulating yet amusing.
