⭐When you learned on a Mac computer and then was forced to swap to a PC at work and then try to return to a Mac in your 60-somethings during retirement, the learning curved is steep. But they say keeping your mind active and learning will scare away the cobwebs, so I decided to return to my beloved Mac. which I wish now I’d never left.I am struggling with so many new things but wanted to master the iPhoto so bought this book. It is doing a decent job. I highlight important facts in each section and then set about editing a group of pictures using this new skill until I feel like I don’t have to go back and reread that section again. Then I will move on to a new skill and practice both of those skills for a few days. So I am gradually becoming comfortable with iPhoto. This book is making it possible. I think I work better with the written word that with video instruction- which I did try and found it too time consuming making notes. But people have different learning styles. They have nice pictures at just the right point so you can see what your screen should look like at that point. Very helpful. I like the hints. It is helping with some other phases of my introduction to the APPLE WAY of doing things now.PS. Since buying the Mac Pro I’ve also gotten an iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. My children aren’t going to have anything over on me!

⭐As usual the “Dummies” books are written for me. This has helped me to understand a lot of my iPhoto stuff on my iMac. It still doesn’t take the place of a brain! It is out of date but then so am I. Three stars because many of the upgrades are not in here and it is an old book. Still nothing like a real teacher.

⭐I own the hard copy edition and wanted the digital copy on my iPad. Very disappointed in the digital version: all the pictures in the print edition are in color, but show up as black & white in the digital version. Had I known this I wouldn’t have purchased the kindle version.

⭐I was probably hoping for a miracle that would make 5 years of sequential events magically turn into an organized tree of pictures that I could pull up at will and present as a slideshow. Well, that didn’t happen, but there were new ideas that give me a clue as to how I can slowly make order out of my chaos. But some of the problems are to do with iPhoto and not this book. Definitely worth a read!!!

⭐I purchased this book to get me familiar with the Mac programs. iPhoto comes with mac and it provided enough info and it is kept as a reference.

⭐I love photography… however, this book is out of date and I would not recommend it for even semi-serious photographers.

⭐Excellent. Had just moved to iPhoto 09 and found all the details very helpful indeed. Without it I would not have been able to navigate through this rather complex system.

    ⭐Very helpful …

    ⭐Good book
