Description

In 1989, the Ayatollah Khomeni, ruler of Islamic Iran issued a fatwa calling on all Muslims worldwide to murder the novelist Salman Rushdie for insulting the Prophet Muhammad and Islam. Rushdie’s crime? Blasphemy or “Islamophobia,” as it has come to be known. Since then we have seen worldwide violent Muslim protests over cartoons, blasphemy laws in Europe, prosecutions of notable opponents of Islamic terror like Oriana Fallaci and Geert Wilders, and the demonization of courageous opponents of Islamic imperialism and terror in the West. David Horowitz and Robert Spencer describe the origins of the word “Islamophobia” as a coinage of the Muslim Brotherhood and show how the Brotherhood launched a campaign, by ginning up “Islamophobia” as a hate crime, to stigmatize mention of such issues as radical Islam’s violence against women and murder of homosexuals, and the constant incitement of many imams to terrorism. The authors make the case that “Islamophobia” is a dagger aimed at the heart of free speech and also at the heart of our national security.

User’s Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐I liked this book because it exposes the Muslim Brotherhood and organizations like it for the and anti-west, anti non Muslim hate groups they are and the complicity of the far left in helping these hate groups in disguise push their anti west agenda.I MOST STRONGLY recommend this book to anyone SEEKING THE TRUTH about the anti west, anti Christian, Kafir hating jihadist groups whose STATED PURPOSE is to destroy every non Muslim society and bring the world under Islam/sharia law

⭐A chilling piece about the possibility of losing the ability to freely share ideas. It warns of the collapse of the Commons. Anyone who is concerned about the assault on free speech being mounted by the Left needs to read this. It may be prophetic but I hope not.

⭐A very good book to clear away the cobwebs of what right and what’s wrong or going wrong with our country. It cuts through all the clap trap and misinformation so prevalent in the mainstream media these days.! A good read.

⭐The authors provide a review of the emergence of the term ‘Islamophobia’ as a term for shutting down free discussion of problems associated with any self-described Muslim group, the basic principle being to smear any such discussion as being anti-Muslim and usually racist too.I’m not familiar with Horowitz; as far as I can make out he espouses many political attitudes I’m not sympathetic to at all. His style is somewhat confrontational. But his argument and, crucially, evidence seems strong. And I certainly do think any attempt to restrict free speech and free thought – especially by distortions and false claims – must be strongly resisted and countered, and in that light this pamphlet is valuable.

⭐Great work! Its not Islamophobia that concerns me. Its media inspired phobia againstinnocent Christians and Jews that scares me. I don’t see Americans being fearful of Muslims– whetherin workplaces or academic institutions. They are being treated with great deal of special privilegesand entitlements. Yet they claim to be victims all the time. Spencer very ably articulates the fact that in the land of the free, one is not allowed even to ask honest questions about anything that has to dowith Islam and its anti-Jewish sentiments, or the killing of millions of infidels in the name of Allah from its inception. It would have been very helpful, if Spencer had devoted a few more pages to help the reader with examplesof the pressure that the non-Muslims in America and Europe are facing these days to surrender their birthrightsto the Muslims.in every way.

⭐Most Americans think Islam is a religion, which is very deceptive. It’s a political system that seeks to bring everything and everyone into total and complete submission which is why people need to read this book and become aware of what we’re dealing with before it’s too late.

⭐Create a fear. Make it bigger. Accuse anyone and everyone until thinking certain thoughts are crimes. Innocent until proven guilty becomes a threat to the security of the society.

⭐Very informative. Though the book is not properly edited for the Kindle. The book notes can’t be clicked upon and appear between the books text. This is quite confusing for the reader. Please fix this issue soon! Same issue with other Kindle editions by Spencer.

⭐Another Spencer short read that is informative and punchy. He basically outlines how this totalitarian ideology called Islam is continuing its march across the world aided and abetted by Western liberals. He outlines how muslims are subversively taking advantage of Western inclusiveness and diversity to object to any critique about Islam in every form possible. This is especially so in academic institutions and media outlets where freedom of speech does not include critical discussions on Islam. Spencer simply outlines the current situation and the threat to basic Western liberal values. The West is walking blindly into this trap and is slowly acquiescing to a subliminal form of Islamic supremacy. This needs to be stopped!

⭐Simply a Must Read if you care about the future of the western European Enlightenment and the liberties that go with it.This booklet is very well written and contains many referenced sources in the Muslim world. It articulates how the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the International Institute of Islamic Thought and the so-called ‘liberal left’ intend to silence any truthful reporting of the agressive and march of violent Islam. The fact that Islam is both a violent political movement and enslaving ideology is well covered. Two courageous authors who are to be commended.

⭐Like all of Spencer’s writings on Islam and free speech this is passionate but at the same time intellectually rigorous. The nonsense term of ‘islamophobia’ is used to portray muslims as some kind of victim of Western oppression. The simple fact is that Islam, and in particular Sharia are radically incompatible with the main tenets of Western civilisation despite the obfuscation of Western liberals. Robert Spencer is a breath of fresh air in his critique of the politically correct academics who are consumed by guilt feelings over colonialism to such an extent that they want to destroy the society in which they live.

⭐Disconcerting but factual. I would describe it as a must read. Where to begin about it? I have to honestly say it shows how ” Western Civilisation” is walking blindfold into a disaster, an anialation of their culture, their tolerance, democracy (what is left of it) and perhaps even their population. People are being hoodwinked by a clever trick. The book leaves me feeling reluctant to say these things but it has to be so if any honesty and objectivity is to survive.

⭐Here is a short but pithy essay on how totalitarianism is dominating political thought without enough people realising it. Liberal fascism is not only on the rise. It has taken over vast areas of academic life and the media. People who call attention to unpleasant realities are being slurred as phobic and effectively banned from public discourse. And I write as a former liberal and Islamophile (when it comes to arts and culture) but one who doesn’t want Sharia law to carry weight in the UK, or anywhere else in the west.
