Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Confusing. Hard to follow. Just ok.

⭐This is good if you are just starting out with Joomla. I am learning this on my own as I up-date our church’s web page. If we stay with Joomla I will be buying more instructional books. This was very helpful.

⭐GOOD PRODUCT AND FAST DELIVERY.

⭐I like most of the Dummies books and this is another good one to get you start it. If you’ve never used Joomla before and you want to know how to this it right away, this is the book to read, and you’ll get the information you need to get it going.

⭐Although Joomla for Dummies is well-written on a sentence-by-sentence level, the content was lacking. The information is repetitious and organized poorly. Worse, the index is all but useless, so you’re out of luck if you need to look up something. (For example, “Separators” is not under “S” but under “Menus.”)This book covers very basic and advanced concepts, but not intermediate ones. It’s not a complete waste of money, but it could have been so much better.

⭐Unfortunately Joomla is losing the battle to WordPress. The book is just another dummies volume, hastily put together with basic contents.

⭐Well written, well organized, entry level overview of this popular CMS application. Excellent for beginners, when read, you’ll have a clear basic understanding of how it’s structured and how to use it. Very good jumping off point for getting into more advanced use.

⭐I never could get any clear understanding out of it although that doesn’t mean it isn’t an excellent resource. Someone who is a bit more techie than I would probably have a better view of this product.

⭐I’m half way through this book and it is annoying me! The exercises make sense and lead you through Joomla. However, somebody with too much say in the production of this book has never seen the system (or even a hypertext page, it would seem!). It keeps telling you to “double click” web links (who in publishing these days doesn’t know how to use the web?) and it frequently mixes controls, telling you to use an action control in order to select an item, then click another control to perform the action that you just caused with the original click! Shoddy work and way too intrusive to make the book worthwhile.

⭐I found this book confusing and unhelpful.Once I had worked that out I looked on the web and found really clear tutorials which knocked this into a cocked hat (apart from the bits that were word-for-word identical of course). Some of the copy was already out of date. The basic lesson is if you want to find out about the web, look on the web.

⭐I love the way these books are written and own quite a few of them. When i needed to learn Joomla for work, this was my first choice. Everything is explained well and isn’t too much of a dry read!

⭐As described excellent service it was just what I wanted for Christmas and the New Year is that enough obviously not?

⭐Great
