⭐ I read Julie of the Wolves quite some time ago and loved it, both for the character of Julie and for her interaction with the wolf pack and survival in the wilderness. One of the most enchanting books of its type I’ve ever read. So I was thrilled to learn of the sequels, written about a quarter century later, and I was not disappointed. This short novel follows Julie’s development after her survival in the first book, and I couldn’t put it down. The third volume, Julie’s Wolf Pack, shifts the point of view and narrative flow to the wolves, and is just as enchanting, presenting deep understanding of wolf pack society and challenging some long-held assumptions about wolves.
