Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Like other people have said this book is a little preachy teaching you a lifestyle instead of focusing on the food aspect of veganism. There are a lot of chapters i have skipped trying to learn about the food parts i was actually wanting to read. There are informative and helpful things in her but just giving a heads up its about more than just food.

⭐So after the doctor advised that I should consider becoming a vegan I needed more information. This book is helpful but leaves some questions so I got the plant-based diet for dummies to go with it. Between the 2 books I am starting to understand what it is about. I don’t like spices or a lot of onion so after adjusting the receipts it is not much different than what I have been eating for most my life.

⭐It’s a good book overall.I chose this book because I was struggling of my body and food so much that I was starting to think it was unhealthy.I would recommend it to everyone both vegan or none vegan because not only help us know what food are good for what but also think that everyone struggles with food, weight or overall health.

⭐This is a great primer on a vegan lifestyle. It covers nutrition, cooking (including recipes), fashion, cosmetics, pregnancy, children and seniors. This is great for someone new to the vegan lifestyle.

⭐I have been waiting for this book to be released for months. Finally, I bought it for myself for Christmas. It is fantastic! I’m not vegan, or even really vegetarian yet for that matter. Because of recent health scares with my children I’m interested in guiding my family toward a more plant-based diet and plan to eventually become vegan myself. This book lays out the “hows” and “whys” of a vegan lifestyle and helps a newbie learn how to get the most nutritional bang for the buck. While I was reading this book from start to finish in one afternoon, I couldn’t help but feel as if Alexandra Jamieson wrote this book specifically for me. I was a fan of her webistes, […] and then […]. She is a very knowledgable source for nutritional information and writes as if she were sitting and talking with you while sipping tea at your kitchen table. I am so pleased with this book and I’m certain I will refer to it over and over in the years to come. Thank you Chef Alex for such a great book!

⭐It was a pretty good read. Information was easy to read and understand. Some of the information that they quoted was a little outdated, like suggesting that oil is part of a healthy diet. Really aside from that though it held a lot of useful info. The recipes were pretty good. Overall, not a bad book for a beginner.

⭐A very instructional book for a person interested in starting to be a vegan.

⭐Vegan not for me

⭐Great! I have found this book very useful as I became a vegan 6 months ago. This book gives a lot of information on a healthy and balanced vegan diet, how to choose a vegan transformation programme that works with one’s lifestyle, travel and eating out. It also deals with the social and psychological aspects of transformation. There are easy vegan recipes. Overall I have found transforming to a vegan diet very, very easy indeed. One thing to add the book is an American version.

⭐This is an extremely helpful book for those who wish to convert from being a vegetarian or meat eater.Information ranges from remaining healthy, facts on animal production, recipes and websites. Some of the references relate to the American market but that not a problem. The book gives helpful responses to those who challenge or question you on being a vegan. What is particulary helpful is the author doesn’t pressure you but gives suggestionson converting, either it slowly or completely converting at once, supportive of both ways.An excellent book that l re read constantly.

⭐Gave this to a friend as a christtmas present. All about the vegan lifestyle

⭐Idiot proof, easy to follow. Recommend

⭐Quite a good book. But I miss the colour. Still not badYes I would recommend it.Cier, Dublin
