⭐The Kindle version has so many misprints it is unreadable. They did an extremely poor job of digitization. Many of the mathematical formulae have pieces missing and in a mathematical textbook the missing pieces are fatal to comprehension. Sometimes the mathematical formulae are printed in such small type that even with a magnifying glass it is difficult to make out what they are expressing. While the Kindle allows one to enlarge text some of these formulae do not enlarge.It looks like no one competent proof read the work after it was converted to Kindle format since I discovered these errors straight off and any one who understood mathematics would have immediately noticed the errors.I’m surprised that such a shoddy job was let ride. Springer has an excellent reputation yet they apparently are investing no resources into the editing and proof-reading of electronic texts.If you buy this text in Kindle form you will be unable to learn the subject matter from it and you will want your money back.

⭐This is one of the rare books in mathematical statistics which directly appeals to intuition and manages to provide some hunch (and create deep curiosity) for advanced topics. Moreover it remains always connected to emprical examples and encourages reader to engage with the data. Therefore it is very suitable for self-study.Briefly, this book is definitely advisable to anyone who wants to know about the theory of statistics. Only small defect is that; there are some typos here and there which may sometimes be annoying.
