Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Most SQL DBA’s are usually on the job , self taught. I am one of those people. This book help you fill in the holes you didn’t learn simply cause you didn’t need to learn. SQL has grown more and more and now has a ton of options, tools, and multiple ways to solve simple tasks. This book is also good to give to junior DBA’s to help them train without taking up too much of your own time. Also good for a boss as a reference to decode what you are doing/saying. Also, has references to seldom touched topics such as Replication and Partitioning. having a job as a DBA and having a book that says “dummies” kinda stinks, but just hide it away or read at home to avoid the snarky comments.

    ⭐Best used good

⭐I got the book, to add an additional layer of knowledge for sccm 2012. I like the easy to understand straightforward way this book deals with questions. Your not a dummy when you really read and use this book. Buy it as the first of the last book to understand sccm 2012 and you wont regret it.

⭐An excellent introduction to the subject. Reads well without being full of technical jargon.

⭐Great book. Right to the point. Can read detail or just follow steps.

    ⭐very helpful.

⭐Since I knew nothing really about MS SQL and my job was starting to require it I felt this book would give me the ability to learn what questions to ask and it has. Makes me feel better about getting into the nuts and bolts. Now, if I could just learn how to turn a DB I created into a program I’d be great.

⭐Basic reference, not as annoyingly cute as some other in the Dummies series.

⭐I’m a final year University student I needed to use Microsoft SQL Server 2008 for my Visual Studio Project. The book explained everything I needed to know, and worked from within the Visual Studio IDE. The book focuses on using the SQL Server Management Tool (but it works the same if you import the MDF file into the VS Project). It explains perfectly for beginners and explains all you need to get the job done. It assumes you already know some SQL, and it is ideal that you do. It also shows you how to create views, table relationships, and some advanced database configuring techniques.I can honestly say, this book was a life-saver, I learned more from it than I did from my tutor!… it was well worth it.

⭐It’s an old product (hahaha… 2008 current is 2014 so not that old). This was a perfect reference for an old setup had to do some work on. Didn’t need or want to spend lots on manuals and this was fine. System upgraded now so this will be kept as reference for now.

⭐Great quality item delivered on time

    ⭐Very easy and straight forward

    ⭐Not found.
