The text serves as a comprehensive introduction to parasitology for both undergraduate and beginning graduate students. In this edition, particular emphasis is placed on parasites of human and veterinary importance. The first three chapters in the text are concerned with how parasites ‘work,’ their biochemistry, molecular and cell biology and physiology. The remaining chapters cover ecology and epidemiology, immunology and chemotherapy, with the final chapter covering integrated control. This new edition contains new material on cell and molecular biology, vectors and control, which is in contrast to the general biological approach of the first edition. Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐It was in good condition and the package arrived earlier than expectated which I loved. This book is interesting it teaches you about parasites and by the end of this book you will have a more understanding of parasites.

⭐As someone who is learning parasitology this book is a valuable resource. As a college level book, it was easy to read and to be quite honest, enjoyable to read. It covers a myriad of topics related to parasitology from life-cycles to drug treatments. I also purchased ‘Parasite Menace’ by Skye Weintraub which was very helpful from a treatment perspective. Weintraub does an excellent job in outlining parasites and presents a non-drug guideline for treatment.

⭐I read a few of the first pages before giving it to my son. It was very clear and read with ease. He has also enjoyed this book. He is a college biology and chemistry graduate and loves to read anything related to biochem in his spare time. This book is advanced and fit his requirement perfectly. Great author! —

⭐ok
